Good discussion and ideas guys. Would be great if someone felt like it to put the idea or push the idea(of getting federal grant funding) to one or both of our Mr Bernie/ys. I am not the guy to do this but I know we have several very passionate regular contributors, maybe someone could take it up. If anyone did start pushing the company in this obvious and very sensible direction I would support any means necessary to encourage them.
It may not be persued ofcoarse unless one of those guys got interested in that path of getting funding for the company but for me its a no brainer.
Answer these simple qustions and you should see the imperative for corperate and political interest.
* Does the Gillard and Labour government want to be remembered as one that stuck around for a short time and achieved little of great note? My answer no.
* Will geothermal evolution and widescale implimentation save the release of trillions of tones of greenhouse gases, give great tech and economic advantage to first mover countries and bring renown and praise for those companies and nations(and governments) succesful in bring it into full widespread production? My answer yes.
* Can Australia afford to push Geothermal? Answer, we have a bloody great grant for promoting this type of tech, the answer is can we afford to not embrace Geothermal.
* Will CKKs tech be leapfrogged if we keep sitting on our hands? As sure as the sun comes up in the morning, other companies will be working on similar tech to the GT3000 as we speak. Perhaps with changes to patent bust, perhaps even improvments.
* Is this grant a great avenue to tech advancment, recognition and the commercial success that comes with it? Absolutely, to fast track things its probobly our best chance.
BTW think this is the best and most positive line of thinking Ive seen on the CKK @ HC for a good while, well done K and P.
