Interesting... The farmers hate it because it eats into their land and may pollute the water supply. Water supply being the obvious and understandable concern.
Without CSG & USG we will it seems be paying a fortune for our electricity (then add carbon tax)
I think the Govt will come under too much pressure and be forced to impose much stricter guidelines as to the processes involved in extracting the gas.
No toxic chemicals are used now in the drilling or fraccing so the biggest concern must be in the Casing & Cementing to somehow ensure the hydrocarbons dont get back into the ground water supply that the farmers are using.
