    Re your post;
    "Oh Lapdog you never cease to amaze"

    Once I sense injustice, discrimination & abuse of power & privilege just watch me go.

    Julia Gillard's performance as a first term PM has thus far left a lot to be desired, as documented on HC. However, that does not mean I agree with some of the mountain of untruths, distortions, misrepresentations & personal attacks also directed her way.

    The Gillard Govt. almost lost the 2010 election & scrambled into power on the back of undertakings to address issues such as global warming, problem gambling & regional development. It has made a mess of offshore processing & thereby delivered what I wanted all along - onshore processing that Tony Abbott says he will reverse.

    If all of the invective & bile that has been directed at Gillard was true I would expect her to resign today. That simply is not the case & in my opinion she has been subjected to an orchestrated campaign of misrepresentation & vilification.

    If Cabinet leaks have come from within the ALP & are not courtesy of media phone hacking or bugging of offices then there is no doubt her leadership is in deep trouble.

    Every PM can expect a fair dose of that but in recent times some people have simply gone beyond what is reasonable. That has spurred people like me to call for people to take a more balanced view & to assess reality rather than scare-mongering & fabrication.
