If you think that's "fairly similar", then that would probably explain how out of touch the Union and it's employee's are with commerical reality.

What about the baggage handlers and engineers? Some real defintive comparisons, not generalisations.

If things were so inequitable for employees at Qantas you think the Unions would be comparing themselves with their closest competitor - Virgin. This never happens, I haven't heard a damn thing about pay and condition comparisons! Not a word, not a word, not a peep!!!!

The cold hard fact is Qantas is going downhill because our business model cannot compete with the likes of Virgin and the cheaper Asian airlines. Why? Wages and conditions.

And the pilots are demanding that Jetstar pilots be paid same as Qantas mainline pilots! How on earth will Jetstar compete with Virin blue then?

Straight out ridiculous. The best thing shareholders can do is invent a time machine and go back to pre GFC, then maybe we could entertain these ridiculous Union demands.
