Good try Surfrat, nowhere near near similar. As posted:

"Qantas Second Officer start at around $80k and increase to a max $140k, first officer 120k-180k, captain starts at 180k and rises to 350k to extremely senior pilots.

In Virgin, pilots start off as a First Officer- as of 2011 the base salary is $104000 increasing to $123714, a captain on the 737 gets about $200k."

Still waiting on baggage handlers and engineers.... yawn

Surfrat I get your point too, but why don't employees just quit if they don't like it? Sometimes it's good to have some fresh blood in the organisation and a culture change. It's probably well overdue...

It just smacks of arrogance that employees just whinge about the organisation all the time - they don't own the company, the shareholders do! We are in post GFC times, and the business model needs to change.
