FEDERAL SUPPORT FOR L-NP DECREASES FOLLOWING TERRORIST ALERT In early December, support for the L-NP was down 2.5% at 43%, while support for the ALP was up 5% at 40%. If a Federal election had been held in early December, the result would have been too close to call, the latest Morgan Poll finds.
Among the minor parties, support for the Greens remained high at 9% (down 0.5%), support for the Australian Democrats was 3% (unchanged). Support for One Nation was 1.5% (unchanged) and Other Parties and Independent Candidates 3.5% (down 2%).
On a two-party preferred basis support for the L-NP decreased, down 4% to 49%. Support for the ALP was 51% (up 4%). The election would be close, decided by minor party preferences.
