It's been known for months that CHK drilled some dry holes on our land & that we retained the sweetest bits & the top geo. These facts will make all the difference.

London flats which is close to defender produced a bit of oil last time around (although uneconomic) and that was without the benefit of 3D and drilled with a single frac stage I think. The Samson team has learned and found the sweet spot + better frac+ better understanding of the geo = economic wells.

I only see this CHK land sale as a short term opportunity for the players to transfer some wealth. This news is not new but the Yahoo blog clowns will use it to get the weak to sell.

I also doubt we will pick up some of the CHK land as they would want to sell it one chunk and I also doubt it would be at fire sale prices.
