Yes, it did have a damn effect on the price and the confidence.
I personally don't see how LYC could have reacted any faster. I was contemplating a 1.19 buy and thought, phew, when I saw it at 1.16, then 1.13 and dropping. I just stood back to see what was happening. And it rose so fast that the best thing was to stand back and watch, unless someone was buying with small funds. The only big money jumping in would have been those in on the game.
