I gave one guess why I thought NDC is off its highs, never have I claimed it to be 100% fact. I make the point very clearly I don't know much about this, and that it could only provide a lead for further investigation. Unlike some people I can see when I don't know enough to make an informed judgement. But obviously you do - I suppose you have studied the geology of NDC's surrounding land tenements and can say for sure there are more diamonds there. I do know people have stated grades vary a lot in alluvials, but once again, not being a Geologist couldn't say that that was true. I'm glad people who do know what they're talking about are sharing, because if we only allow those who know exactly how to value a diamond mining company to speak you wouldn't get many posts here.

I can say this with certainty though, with a grade of .06 cpt very rarely will the diamond mining op be profitable, regardless of other factors. Diamond prices haven't exactly shot through the roof either since Dr Rudenno wrote his book so I think it's a fairly safe assumption.

Interesting that you mention cost of ore treated too, reminds me of several reports of how rising contractor margins and high oil prices have really hurt mining in SA as a whole.

Well, at least now I know it's pointless sharing info here because everyone already knows quite a lot about mining and diamond geology. I'll have to take comfort from one of Trevor Syke's sagacious words "Once a company starts mining, it should swing into a profit pretty quickly. If not, dive out."

    cheers good luck punters
