With respect, DERM, the State's supreme scientifc regulator appears to confuse trigger values for contamination so foul to warant disproportionate action including shutdown and press releases threatening jail and heavy fines.

You too seem to be confusing a 1ppb trigger value excedence for contamination ... its easy to do given the degree of mispreporting that has taken place.

Given the above, I and I suspect many, have a low expectation that a local government council would be sufficiently informed to make any meaningful comment. I would also think that if such comments were shown to be irresponsible on even a cursory examination of facts that they too may need to consult lawyers at some future time.

I think you will find the company has a tight handle on actual timelines, not ones carelessly thrown together for the basis of sensational press releases ... and I would expect this to come out in court.

I think the argument against there having been contamination that caused harm to human health and the environment is so convincing that Erin Brockovich would jump at the chance to represent a violated, marginalised Cougar.
