From my understanding of it its to do with the onset of last years and the years before wet seasons, timing, duration and intencity, I've got no idea how they figure it out but they live their lives by it. Plus its hot as hell up here it would take half a day to dry out the effects of any rain day at the moment our stand by times are about half a day if it rains and were constantly operating on the move so rain effects us more than say a drill rig.
