K so you sold out at 17c to buy back at maybe 16c? You now need to hold that for a year to get the extra tax benefit (up to 25% for highest tax bracket), so you need to take that into account when regularly selling. Even in your SMSF that's a 5% diffference which is approximately the gain made out of selling at 17c and buying at 16c. In other words risking the share price running away for you for no gain at all. The only way it's worthwhile risk-wise imo is if you were confident it could get down to around 14c for SMSF-based or less than 13c for standard investment but I personally can't see that happening.
