i would suggest homosexuals & Christians need to learn to respect eachother, just as other groups in our secular society must live together
just as homosexuals do not expect Christians to practise homosexuality, Christians should not expect homosexuals to practise Christianity
homosexuals can have a civil wedding
if homosexuals push to have a Church wedding or push for Holy Communication, as they did with Bishop Pell a few years ago, that is probably disrespectful if the Christain institution does not want to reciprocate
NOTE: i am not criticising Christianity here or having a religious debate. i am simply saying both Christians and homosexuals are members of Australian society
