There is no manipulation, there isn't a scrap of evidence, it's a goldbug conspiracy theory that gets endlessly recycled, like the Phillipine Gold or Fort Knox is empty.

A titillating little bit of gossip that some goldbugs think is going to end in their heading off to the nearest Rolls-Royce dealer to pick up the latest Phantom.

If there's manipulation how come there's been no leaks? Why, in all the time this 'manipulation' has been allegedly occuring hasn't someone, somewhere leaked a titbit of info to prove it.

Central bankers apparently find the allegations hilarious and one Fed Vice_Chairman says the subject of gold is hardly ever mentioned.

The Fed does not own any gold.
