Good point Bundy
So those who already voted NO could sell tomorrow and their NO vote would still be counted ???
The new shares wont appear against a HIN until settlement T+3 ?
Nervous could have sold tomorrow to reduce his Risk and his NO vote lodged for the shares sold would still have counted ???? or Not ?
Whereas if he sold last week say on or before 20/10 the shares would be in the HIN of a new owner by 5pm 26/10 who may or may not vote ? and could vote YES
the SOA booklet says proxy form must be received before 10AM 26/10 and eligibility to vote determined at 5pm
that means you would have had to have bought ESG on 20/10 or before to be eligible to vote with the normal CHESS T+3 processing. I am sure there are faster settlement routes for brokers.
Have I got this right ?
Cheers
