At one point the ask price was 8p but it very quickly retreated back to 7.5p once people started profit taking. Whilst the media does regularly state that Scottish gold is worth 5 times the price of “normal” gold, at present there is no working gold mine open in Scotland so Scottish gold is currently very scarce. Once the Cononish gold mine opens there will be a lot more Scottish gold about and I would imagine that premium price will come down considerably to say twice the price of “normal” gold.
