Its good to see that PDN is again out performing ERA & EXT today....below is some intresting commentary on Paladin's operations in Malawi....apparently when up and running ....paladin will add 10% to Malawi's GDP! Today there is a production report due out from paladin right for q1? lets hope its positive...!!!



MaraPost intelligence on Malawi uranium, Paladin and others

With overall uranium reserves estimated at 18.7 million metric tons, independent analysis shows that Malawi could become one of the world's major producers of uranium if Paladin met its target of producing at least 1, 300 tons each year. As a major producer of uranium, the southern African nation would rank ninth in the world, following the United States and Ukraine. That achievement could surely whet the appetite of major mining players who would want a piece of Malawi's uranium. The French group Areva which is active in Niger and the Australia's Rio Tinto - it does business in Namibia where Paladin has uranium mining interests as well - could be the likely players.

It's estimated that the Paladin deal could produce at least $130 million in revenues each year for Paladin which could boost Malawi gross domestic product (GDP) by 10 percent which currently stands at $3.5 billion.
