Sorry lautrec that is NOT feasible or economical. By all means as renters choose only properties that fit your criteria but things like this should not be forced. Bottom line solar is a nice idea but it still is not really economical as an investment. Reality is it will take around 10 years for a system of any decent size that is likely to cover the majority of the renters electricity needs to pay for itself. However that does not take into account maintenance costs, increased building insurance, and hell you still can't guarantee that the system will last substantially longer than 10 years. No it has a way to go before it will really be worth it.
