QF staff have been trying to nogotiate with management for well over a year.
But management dont want to negotiate, they want confrontation.
The unions have to abide by the laws and fair work Australia.
The only muscle they have these days is to work to rule, have stop work meetings and not to work overtime.
The fact that management has laid off so many engineers in the last ten years thst they now dont have enough to maintain the fleet is not the engineers fault.
The place runs on overtime and good will, but both of those have now gone.
There is no engagement or good will between staff anymore.
