The government will have to act on this matter now.

Gillard has been pushed into a corner.

This is now an issue of National importance.

This will cause massive disruption, costs and lost enterprise.

The country needs the PM and the government to sort this out quickly.

The unions shouldn't be striking whilst trying to negotiate. That should have only been a last resort if negotiations had broken down.

Well they've certainly broken down now.

The union people will be without pay from Monday. How many months will it take to recoup lost wages when / if they win a small pay rise?

Most union members don't think about that.

PS All the union heavies will still be getting paid.
