Joyce does not have to give into union demands, but there is a process to resolve the issue that does not involve grounding (as a shareholder) my business.

I expect the Qantas board to negotiate a reasonable outcome and not add to destroying Qantas.

The board is paid for their smarts and not their stupidity, and obviously we are not getting any smarts.

Joyce appears to have a personal agenda that is not in the interests of Qantas long term.

If Joyce believes he can not make Qantas viable in Australia, then he should give the job to someone who can.
Or at the very least, find an overseas company to buy Qantas and then there will be no issue about using overseas workers.

As a shareholder, Joyce should not be able to shut down my business without giving me and other shareholders a say in something that has the potential to destroy our short term and long term business.

And he should be sacked for shutting down our business without shareholder approval.

    Recipe for the non objective.

    Government all bad.
    Unions all bad.
    Joyce all good.

Put in to a bowl and do not mix.

    Half Bake for 10 seconds.

Serve and eat just the "Joyce all good" part and discard the rest.

You should now have a view that does not look at the real truth of the situation.
