ophir, I see you have posted several times on the qantas thread and it would be fare to say you do not run a business, more likely a wage earner. There is nothing wrong with that but you are not thinking like a business person.

If you had a business that made model planes that were manufactured in Australia, and lets say the average cost was $50 too have them made here. Then you have some competitors who start selling similar planes that are made overseas where labour rates are cheaper therefore sell cheaper.

You notice that you are not competitive anymore and will soon be running at a loss.
Do you

A: Keep making the planes in australia because we make the best planes however soon you will be out of business

B: Get your planes made overseas and recoup your losses and then become more profitable again.

Funny how so many Aussie workers have lost their jobs to overseas workers in other industries but because it is qantas it is unacceptable. It's the new millennium. Get used to it.
