After 30 years in the industry it is my observstion in the last 5 years that the Australian system of maintenance was probably better than most carriers in Asia.
Having said thst the British system is also excellent, as probably are many countries i havnt worked in.
Boeings and Airbus are very technical aircraft, and i find that some of the engineers in Asia struggle with the interpretation of the technical language in the maintenance manual. Some dont and grasp it well ! Some Aussie engineers struggle with it at times.
I would say in the 1970s, 1980s and maybev90s before the rot set in, QF had one of the best engineering departments in the world.
It is nowva shadow of its former self.
Not that it is any of your business, i work in Asia bcoz i want to and enjoy it. I earn more, and i paybmuch less tax, but i work hard for it.
