The postion is not secure, that is what is central to the dispute..no job security.
If Qantas get away with it though the miners will be next. they want to bring in low paid workers and are suggesting we are not supplying the skilled workfore they need (rubbish) but for cheap they will offer on job training like they do for Aboriginals who earn less than $500 a week whereas whites get $2000. Maybe best to wait for mining to open up to overseas workers, may get better than the $38000 baggage handlers get doing back breaking work.
