What will you do with all the spare time on your hands now Buddy? No debating ESG issues will be like having 2 extra hours of daylight saving every day..... LOL.
Seriously, no other board generated as much passion as ESG. The debates were wide-ranging, spirited and robust.
A special acknowledgement to Yaq who promoted ESG better throughout than anyone. Such a shame their management had nowhere near the same positivity and enthusiasm as he did. He studied every possible alternative avenue before eventually declaring the STO SoA as the most viable, all things considered. That took guts. It was not admitting defeat...... just saying he had given his all and could find no better.
Thanks to Wreck too. He took up the fight after Yaq went on leave and pushed ESG all the way to the final vote. Shareholders may not have won the war but they didn't lose it either. After the vote they had the choice of selling for at least 90 cents on market, or electing to join STO. End result was we were not treated inferior to TRU. This may well not have eventuated without the SAG effort led by Wreck. Thank you on a sterling contribution!
As for DB....... I could never work him out. On face value he barked up a lot of wrong trees but did his eloquence mask his true motives? The other mystery for me was whether he had any connections with the Rastafarian family? If so, they ought to go into business writing mystery novels now they also will have so much spare time!
Adios ESG. Thanks for the ride!
