I'd prefer they took over(privatized) Australia Post. That would immediately give it a massive banking base structure.
Cobb & Co went into receivership in 1911. One hundred years on Telstra could buy what remains of it from Dyson's and complete a troika of Aussie icons. Resurrect it as Mobile banking to all the retirement villages, nursing homes etc. The oldies would love it.
