Being an existing etrade customer, about a year ago I received a call from some etrade sales guy asking if there were things that I would like to be doing around trading. I meantioned I might like the ability to short. So he pointed me to the their CFD product. Having read about the risks of CFD's I said I'm not interested cause my money is pooled and not safe. His response was that ANZ would not like the reputational damage that losing clients money would cause and therefore you would be safe. Luckly I knew better than to listen to sales crap.
