Paul Keating was right in saying that current Labor lacks a story to tell to sell its visions. I believe the mining tax can be that "story". Labor should start writing the story line to finish its Vision Book in time for the 2013 election.
Why would the voters in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Queensland not warm to the idea of the super mining profits being shared more equitably by Australians no matter where they live ?
