dont worry jokers....these bears love their cash on deposit,,,as you say, earning piddling earnings, and with no capital growth available....
but when you have surplus cash, waiting for its new home, you have to park it somewhere... and its not on a silly term deposit....its an internet deposit, pays a higher rate, at call, no penalty for early redemption...easy to transfer at a moments notice...
I have not made up my mind, do I want to trade in this place for a bigger place....the principal resi... or will I move back near the city ???
but the bigger, more important picture is to buy more commercial props...thats where the higher returns are... and retail is still in the doldrums...
the last time I found the commercial stuff, it took 5 years of waiting for the right one to come on the market... those props dont change hands very often....so one just has to wait it out....hence why the cash is on hand there are plenty of, what I consider, inferior props out there...but its of no interest to me...
I am not a gambler, so the stock market is of no interest, whilst waiting... cheers
