support indonesia On the matter of boycotting Indonesia, the whole idea is completely misdirected and ludicrous and won't achieve anything. Australians are less than 20% of foreign tourist arrivals in Bali, so we are not as important as some of us would like to think.
For those who would like to impose a boycott I think you need to learn about human nature. It is very difficult to impose your views on someone else by confrontation unless you are prepared to beat them into submission, but that only works until you turn your back. A far more effective way to get your ideas across is by increasing interaction. The more contact you have the more opportunities there are to demonstrate why your ideas are better and they are more likely to be accepted. I therefore advocate more contact and interaction at all levels but it must be approached with everyone being on an equal level and with mutual respect.
