Osi the issue with the narrow width spur reefs is dilution. If they use mechanised mining on spur type structures then you can easily get it wrong on the estimation of waste to ore
The only way to find out is "open up the reef". It doesnt matter how many holes you drill into it, you have to mine it to find out.
The large fissure lodes at Ballarat are are up to 30m in width and 100m in height so suitable for mechanised mining.
