From what I know, but doing only internet based research, Stone Mining on their own do not appear to have the resources to takeover FML.
I suspect the CRE play was an attempt to either greenmail the board, or a short term flick to another suitor for an investment gain. Just my opinions.
So, no, I don't regard Stone Mining as a predator to FML.
At some time in the future you would expect FML to take out Stone Mining. But there is no hurry on behalf of FML to do this. FML has complete operational and board control of CRE, so does not need Stone Mining's votes for any decisions.
