I agree Pisces the market surely does want to rally and given the right signals there will be no stopping it....

Have we got the right signals?

We need the following in place AND confirmed imo

1. Governments Globally working together to achieve stability

2. Global tresuries come clean on their current status with no more surprises

3. Coordinate a plan to tackle the debt with confirmed timelines in place and check points along the way to demonstrate compliance with the plan. The plan must also show growth targets.

The markets don't need to know everything is fixed...just that a workable plan is in place..

IMO the US, China, India, Brasil have their houses in reasonable order and it is only Europe that needs to sort itself out.....

I think the markets were please with Berlusconi gone as they have a chance to put a system and or group in place that is commited to dealing with the issues that count...

Can we rally from here? Sure, but a retrace is in order to gain some volume and momentum
