before the greed is good mantra....became the norm....
back in the days of old...before coles and woollies took over....our shopping experience....
we used to have to visit many different local stores...buying local produce...the butcher, then the baker, the greengrocer....they each ran their businesses

and the local community supported them...everyone was happy
it may have been a bit time consuming....none became billionaires...they only provided what the locals demanded

    fast forward to today....
I can step foot into the dept stores and supermarkets....
but its damn hard to get out in a hurry...
they determine what is available...what I should buy....forget my long term favourite brands....
and then I can stand in a long line, waiting to get out....

they set the prices...they have wiped out all competition from the smaller greengrocer, butchers etc....

then the check out operators, says have a good day...
poor things, they look just as depressed as I feel , after my shopping experience

their fresh food is far from fresh after being stored under chemicals for up to a year...the meat is tough but top price, the fish is tasteless....we have no idea where the food comes from, or whats in it....but most households have become conditioned to spending hundreds of dollars every week on this rubbish..

apparently everyone is just too busy.....doing what ?

at least Aldi stores have come to save us....50% savings on most items....but they also make us stand and wait in line...and god forbid, either bring your own bags, or buy theirs at 15c...

the dept stores are full of lovely expensive items....but if consumers are getting used to 70% discounts....whats the point of stocking the stores with overpriced stuff...
    with a 20% discount....

I am not into....internet shopping....why on earth should I pay upfront, to trust someone to deliver me what they promised....no thanks...

I find everywhere I go shopping today....I have to wait to be served.....all the sales people are too busy...doing nothing....customers are to be treated as 2nd rate citizens...the store is more important....
    customer service....forget it...

its the CEO's, and their stock holdings, or the investors that are more important...than the actual customer.....
they cut costs, pay low wages, use less staff....and expect us to continue to support them....

you can take a stand, save lots of money every week on your food bill....but are you willing to spend the time....
thats what the food chains are counting on ..the inconvenience to you....but then they themselves...inconvenience you...by making you stand in line for ages.....

methinks there is a huge change taking place.....
back to the future anyone ?
where is that brave new world now ???
