"The next election, whenever it is held, will be a lot closer than one would think."
Doesn't matter really. After all Julia governs against all odds with no majority at all.
But when its all said and done, I don't think that the colossal uprising of the people that I see is anti-labor as such, or even anti-greens. It is very much anti-deception. So many people feel that they have been comprehensively taken for fools, their vote has been taken for granted and treated in a way that was never intended.
That then turns in to a fear of the future. We can't believe what we are told, ergo, the politicians are despised. Julia's pre-poll declaration could not have been clearer, and yet we all now know it was a total outright lie, intended to deceive. Nobody comes much lower than that, least of all honest hard-working Australians-for-a-fair-go.
Its very sad. Up until recently voters of all persuasions had some respect for one another. We always knew that in a serious crisis, we would all pull together. But the current team have destroyed that trust. There is no going back now, its too late. We simply cannot trust our leaders.
