    thanks

    but back to the spreadsheet

ONE BIG MISTAKE THERE and a small one

after talking to GTE just now, they said producing copper concentrate from copper sulphides generally would incur 2.5% to 5% smelter charge, depending on negotiations. so the smelter costs can be upped to say $31m

but the BIG MISTAKE i have made in my spreadsheet is it assumes a copper sulphide operation thus the large CAPEX of $600m

however, many Kazakstan copper deposits have copper oxide on top and copper sulphides underneath

both CAPEX and OPEX for copper oxide is far cheaper than for copper sulphides

for example, a UK listed company i found called Frontier Resources is building a copper oxide Solvent Extraction Electro Winning plant in Kazakstan for an estimated $75m, which has a 5.5mtpa capacity

so copper oxide CAPEX is far less costly than the $600m i guessed

CAPEX could start at $150m for 10mtpa if an excellent oxide deposit is found

    time for more spreadsheets
