The govt is steaming along with legislation, GDY is not doing too much at all it seems. 'timelines pushed out' is so true seacumber. I've lost track of how many times GDY has been set to drill the Hunter Valley or the Cooper Basin. It makes me weep that we have two rigs and they are unused. I would be somewhat comforted with news of R&D but nothing is there. Just waiting, waiting. Waiting on Origin it might be felt. Have Origin shelved Hot Rocks, couldn't really blame them.

There was supposed to be a test turbine in place end of this year from Uni Qld. but if we're not drilling to feb 2012 that won't happen. Hard to believe that at one time GDY timetabled both HAB 5 and HAB 6 to be completed by Mar 2011.

Meantime Origin is exploring conventional geothermal in Indo. It's amazing to me that GDY haven't played a part in that venture.

Anyway, the govt has money on the line for a credible base-load clean energy at the moment. The stars have never been better aligned. Come on GDY get something moving.
