Dorc I'd have to read the spread sheets again but don't they already have approx half of the segregated acct in cash ?
and if so how could it be as low as 30% .
Cash from asx must come through when posi's are closed out and it sounds like most of the others are being helpful although it sounds like thin markets mean it is hard to close some positions . Darn yanks are the issue like usual , lawyers and legals will kill them financially .

I'm having trouble believing that MF staff were not keeping records of all transactions on a daily basis to know who was near margin call status .
Feel for the poor blighters who are now in margin call area with unclosed posi's as they will be asked to pay up .
