I keep thinking back to Pharmasset, and their $5.5 billion market cap. They have 2 drug candidates in Phase 2, one in Phase 1 one and one in pre-clinical research.

Next year, Benitec, all going well, will have the HBV in Phase 1, the pain therapeutic in Phase 1. Possibly NSLC in Phase 1, muscular dytrophy in pre-clinical. Indirectly they will have Calimmune in Phase 2, City of Hope in Phase 1/2, Gradalis in Phase 1, retinitis pigmentosis in Phase 1. They may well even have a collaborator for their own HIV/AIDS trial. The HCV drug, via Tacere/Pfizer, may still bear fruit. Licence Agreements need to be paid sometime and I expect there will be some pressure of these companies to pay up.

All for a lousy $14 million, with over $5 million cash.

IMO there is no need to panic.
