Seriously though - as I posted above, I strongly suspect that this is Gillard doing what she can to suck up to the USA, and with President Obama here at the moment, the pressure to fall into line was never stronger.
I think Martin Ferguson and Paul Howes would have a word to this Rudd person you refer to - can't see him getting his old job back now if he piddles those two off..... ;)
