Doesn't bore me at all! That paper is compelling, but the spelling errors and the lack of publication in a PubMed indexed journal makes it perhaps not as rigorous as one would hope. Nevertheless, it seems that many seperate groups are right now working on this terrible disease using shRNA. Glioblastoma multiforme is a nasty brain tumour that is a death sentence usually within months. Universally fatal illnesses would offer the chance of quick approvals for a study. If you or a family member developed this, you would not hesitate to enrol for any such study. Here is a little more reading, I found a recent full text free online paper with lots of details of possible shRNA strategies for fighting this tumour.
It is in this sort of disease, where current treatments are hopeless, and life expectancy is in months, where I believe the first blockbuster success will be in humans, and when that happens, then we'll get massive news coverage, and this stock will go mental. Just one patient will do. I'm sure almost anyone, on death row, would give anything for a chance.
