Tony should automatically oppose it as he does with everything else.
Geeze settle down Dave, you've got a hide to ask anything of Tony Abbott, and a very strange way of asking it too.
trendee is correct imo, Gillard came out with two statements in one day, she's against Gay Marriage and she wants to sell uranium to India.
Both statements are in direct opposition to their masters (the Greens). And now this. It stinks like an ALP/Greens beat up in a desperate attempt to regain some lost ALP core support.
* Distance the ALP from the problem (the Greens).
* Pretend to be completely different to the Greens.
* The Greens are happy to play along, as they stand to get more preferences from the returning ALP core support.
But at least one Labor MP has publicly said he won't be preferencing the Greens. Said he cares about his constituents (lol) and believes the Greens are destroying the Labor brand and alienating Labor voters.
If other MP's do the same, that might throw a spanner in the works. Of course it was probably just another Labor Lie anyway. I cannot trust any Labor MP to speak the truth.
Labor and the Greens need each others prefs to survive, a queer and desperate marriage that imo is destined to eventually fail.
