I've read throught this thread and have not found one sensible reason why the increased US presence should be discouraged.
I think its terrific, both from an economic and security point of view.
Those who oppose it are doing so from behind their mother's skirts, because they know full-well that the slightest threat to our security will dealt with in no uncertain manner. Who on earth would give us any grief if they know we can whistle up the full US Navy and Air Force? Right.
