Ramses, ISIS set ANP up as a satellite company to spread the cost of investment needed to advance antisense drugs. ISIS were allotted shares and so forth for the licences etc some 8-10 years ago. This was when antisense drugs weren’t much more than a good sounding concept.
Antisense has come a long way since those early days. As you know antisense drugs are on market now and there is dozens in the pipeline carrying commercialization validation… liver targeting Gen2 are the hot picks and best of the bunch!!
We should not dismiss the R&D ANP have put into their drugs that has created the intellectual property needed to unlock value…. and their financial investments are near to the $100+ million mark already.
The value ANP receive for ATL1103 will imo reflect what they have invested over the past 10 years x 30-50.
I guess it is like a resource company owning a patch of land they bought 10 years ago which has a massive reserve of oil on it, but the technology wasn’t around at the time to recover that oil/unlock value… through development ANP has the technology to retrieve the oil and at the same time companies in the USA have also worked out how to retrieve hard to reach oil resources so ANP can also collaborate with them on the best possible way to do so, but nothing can take away from ANP the fact that they own the patch of dirt over here that has a massive resource worth billions.
Sorry not the best analogy as there is a lot of hard work ANP has put into the drug through R&D… which is the key to unlocking the value but you get my the point.
If ATL1103 works on humans as it did on primates ANP are rich it doesn’t matter either which way you look at it.
Worth checking out if Mipomersen worked on humans EXACTLY as it did on primates………… both liver targeting Gen2 anitsense
Anyway, I’m more than willing to chat and discuss research backed up with facts etc but really most here are just as T4P said so well “playing their books”
JMO, and Good Luck!
