AFR also quotes the Australian Shareholders Association saying the proposal was not a good deal for minority shareholders, especially as ecorp was close to finally turning a profit. In what is essentially a buyout of minority shareholders there needs to be a benefit on both sides, and here we cant see the benefit for retail investors, ASA director Stephen Matthew said. From the available cash ECP could have buy out 100% of Wizard; which now privately owned ecorp will do.
