Legin, far be it from me to fly the flag for Socius, but they have provided approx $US 24.3m to the coffers of Conti since June 30, 2011. Would you lend/provide that kind of money without some conditions, especially in these markets? Needless to say, I wouldn’t.
Don’t blame Socius for protecting their investment. Conti is still in the game. In more normal times perhaps the Socius intervention may have been a SP catalyst, but times aren’t so normal.
Don’t worry Conti pushes the yo-yo button in myself and maybe we could all benefit from some psychological studies right now, rather than being part of the experiment for future case studies.
Your average of 27 cents doesn’t seem so bad to me, but I admire you for wanting to protect your investment, just like Socius.
My understanding of Socius is they’re a ‘passive’ kind of investor. They don’t seek board positions, so they can come and go without too much scrutiny.
Where would Conti be without the $24.3m raised since June 30th, given ABSA/Conti still hasn’t come to the party?
