depending on the depth of the orebody, if they decide to switch to shaft hoisting instead of the current decline haluage system, they can reduce OPEX at depth significantly.
However, the capital expense involved with developing a shaft is significant. However, if the orebody at depth is significant and deep enough, I see no reason why it would be out of the question.
