Any thoughts re the length of the trading halt?
I'm thinking that the longer it lasts the more likely the Directors will possibly recommend FMS being sold if that is what is being considered.
This trading halt may have also possibly resulted in additional parties also contacting FMS saying: "Hey what about us?!".
One thing that has not happened is an announcement from FMS putting a dampner on any market speculation re a takeover or an infrastructure deal. You would think that this type of announcement would happen rather quickly.
The longer this trading halt lasts then potentially the better the deal maybe.
A little bidding war would obviously be good for FMS. The great thing here is it would most probably not just be a bidding war on a pure 100% takeover but also potentially on a minegate and/or infrastructure deal with a RIO or FMG.
Looking at it from another perspective any type of bidding war would be nice for the entire iron ore sector. A little like what the current battle for Hathor Exploration is doing in the uranium sector.
