I wonder if the consolidation has anything to do with them actually being serious about a dividend. with the new number of shares on issue i guess a 10 or 20c dividend might be possible, but with previous shares i guess dividend would be less than 1c per share. looks a bit better, although wouldnt be the reason im sure. I for one would be very impressed in any dividend.
