I dont believe the games over yet... BHP may have control...but they will not get the 100% untill they cough up for the larger hedge funds that will hang on...why else would you have buyers at $7.85!!!
It may look like a win for BHP now... but whilst more than 10% is held they cant go to compulsory aquisition and they cant move the balance sheet across... a big problem in the future... unless of course they offer a better price in the future!!
If WMC drops at the end of this because its closed and BHP doesnt have 90% ....I'll definitely be buying!!!
